CHINESE MIGRANTS IN L.A.
(NBC) - B.C.'s not the only place dealing with Chinese migrants.

In Los Angeles, 53 made it to shore yesterday and are now in custody.

The Chinese nationals were discovered in the bulk hold of a Singapore registered freighter.

The U.S. Coast Guard says several teenage boys were among those hidden there.

Others were crammed into concealed spaces throughout the ship.

It is the second boatload of Chinese migrants to land on North American shores within a week.

On the weekend, Mexican officials detained 110 Chinese migrants who arrived on the Baja Peninsula near the seaside city of Ensenada.
