Security improving at PG prison
PRINCE GEORGE
(CKNW/AM980) -- Security is being beefed up at the old
Prince George prison, as a result of Thursday's escape
by a Chinese migrant. Prison Director Bob Riches says
there will be more patrols, and the fence is being made
tougher to scale. Riches says razor wire will be used at
the top of the fence as well as in the corners of the
court yards. The 26-year-old Chinese migrant managed to
clear a prison fence and was caught about eight hours
later, after a resident reported someone was breaking in
to a house near the prison. The migrant is now back in
custody, waiting for an internal court
appearance. |
