Migrant found
PRINCE GEORGE
(CKNW/AM980) -- A Chinese migrant who escaped from the
old jail in Prince George yesterday afternoon was
recaptured late last night. He was picked up just after
11 p.m. at a residence not far from the jail, after
police received a break-in complaint. The man fled the
jail's work yard in the middle of the afternoon by
scaling a fence and running into thick bush. For eight
hours he eluded an intensive police ground search.
Police say when arrested he was very frightened, but
physically okay.
