Last escaped migrant captured

PRINCE GEORGE (CKNW/AM980) -- The last of seven Chinese migrants who escaped custody in Prince George on Saturday has been re-captured. The man went to the front door of a house on the southern outskirts of Prince George on Monday afternoon and asked for help. The homeowner called police.

By the time they arrived, the migrant had already hitched a ride with a passing motorist and was headed back into the city. Police managed to stop the vehicle and make an arrest, without incident.

Police say the man was very hungry, cold and exhausted when apprehended.
He's now back at the old Prince George jail, where security has been tightened.
